University of Oulu

Professor Rauno Heikkilä
Introduction to the University of Oulu and its key research areas.

Professor Heikkilä is a Professor of Digitalized Construction and Mining Operations in the Faculty of Technology at the University of Oulu. He is Head of the Structures and Construction Technology Research Unit. He received his Doctor of Technology degree in 1996 from the University of Oulu. His main research interests include construction technology, engineering mechanics, information modelling (BIM), automation and robotics in the construction of roads, railways, fairways, bridges, buildings, and mining operations.
